Nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg wird die FKK-Bewegung zu einem speziell deutschen Phänomen. Es gibt Nacktsport, Nacktschulen und Nacktgymnastik.
Dabei darf der Kult ums Nacktsein vieles sein: mal sozialistisch, mal völkisch, aber niemals sexy. Während die DDR-Bürger das Nacktbaden als kleine Freiheit flächendeckend durchsetzen, verstecken sich die FKK-Anhänger in der Bundesrepublik hinter blickdichten Zäunen. Im vereinten Deutschland ist Nacktheit immer weniger ein Tabu, aber auch kein Ausdruck besonderer Geisteshaltung mehr. ZDF-History blickt zurück auf ein Jahrhundert voller nackter Tatsachen.

After World War I, the naturist movement became a specifically German phenomenon. There are nude sports, nude schools and nude gymnastics.
The cult of nudity can be many things: sometimes socialist, sometimes ethnic, but never sexy. While the GDR citizens enforce nude bathing as a small freedom across the board, the nudists in the Federal Republic hide behind opaque fences. In a united Germany, nudity is less and less a taboo, but it is also no longer an expression of a special attitude. ZDF-History looks back on a century full of bare facts.
